Music

Allen Academy offers multiple band electives to choose from beginning in sixth grade through twelfth grade. In band, students will gain and expand their knowledge and application of musical terms, musical notation, music theory, music appreciation, and apply instrumental performance techniques throughout the year. Throughout the year students will have the opportunity to perform at school events, state competitions, and individual competitions hosted by independent organizations.

Band also offers the opportunity for students to join pep band, also known as the "Rockin' Rams" where the student body orchestrates and performs at pep rallies and friday night football games

Allen Academy offers orchestra to students starting in sixth grade through twelveth grade. In orchestra students will learn how to read music, analyze musical notation, identfy music from classical composers, and learn how to play basic notes and rhythyms with their instrument. Throughout the year students will have the oppourtunity to perform at school events and state competitions to furthur excel and challenge their excellence to compete against other small private schools across the state of Texas. 

Allen Academy offers choir to students from sixth through twelfth grade, providing a comprehensive music education that spans musical theory, notation analysis, and the study of classical composers. Students develop proficiency in reading music, playing basic notes, and mastering rhythmic patterns with their voices.
